Hi! I’m Clay, author and publisher here at Swing High. When my kids were a bit younger, we would frequent the library and come home with teetering stacks of picture books. Honestly, I think I enjoyed them as much as the kids did. Children’s books can be magical and charming and poignant and funny and important — all at once. A good book can accomplish so much in just a few hundred words.
I’m immensely grateful to my wonderful wife, Karen, for cheering me on, and to our two daughters and two sons who are still always excited to see what’s coming next.
We live in the Chicago suburbs — in the house where I grew up. Before launching Swing High, I spent 20-some years in IT, served two stints as a youth pastor, and I still work with kids and youth every week. It keeps me (mostly) young!
